About this property

Welcome to Savoy Hotel

Located on Queen's Promenade in Blackpool, Savoy Hotel occupies a substantial Victorian building offering classic-style rooms, some with sea views. The property features a restaurant, bar, and facilities suitable for conferences, events, and weddings. Guests can expect free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, free parking, and an accessible environment, with additional pet- and kid-friendly amenities. Check-in begins at 15:00, with check-out by 10:00.

The hotel provides a traditional atmosphere, reflected in its architecture and interiors, though some areas show signs of wear consistent with its period setting. Several reviewers note clean and comfortable rooms, with practical conveniences such as tea and coffee making facilities and blackout curtains. Food is described as basic but home-cooked, with a restaurant offering breakfast and dinner options, including accommodating dietary needs upon request.

Guests appreciate the property's location across the street from the waterfront and just a minute’s walk from the Gynn Square tram stop, offering easy access to Blackpool’s main attractions. Nearby points of interest include Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Zoo, both popular destinations suitable for families and visitors seeking entertainment. Some guests mention the distance to the promenade as a consideration if not using the tram or car.

With a rating of 3.2 from nearly 2,000 reviews, the Savoy suits visitors looking for budget accommodation with basic comforts in a central location. It generally appeals to leisure travelers, families, and those attending events at the venue, though the hotel’s somewhat dated infrastructure and occasional service inconsistencies suggest it may not meet all expectations for travelers seeking modern or luxury facilities.

After reading some of the reviews I was worried. Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were all very welcoming and polite. Room had been refurbished, some areas weren't great but it was clean and comfy. Location is a bit far out but tram stop outside and reliable. Enjoyed the stay , would return.

very good value hotel, staff went out the way to be helpful. Stayed last night in room 149, a small double but very big TV, fan, iron and ironing board with a bath with shower over that had amazing pressure and good supply of hot water. Room had Tea and Coffee and blackout curtains. stayed as a evening meal package, food was basic but home cooked and again with breakfast however at £46ppn for dinner, bed and breakfast was amazing value and you get a lot for your money. The only issue was says evening meal served between 6-8 however due to hotel being quiet evening meal was served at 6, totally understand but a phonecall, email or text before arrival would have been nice as had planned to eat later as of plans so had to change things about.

Me and my partner stayed here in February for a romantic weekend away, and this hotel did not disappoint. We arrived and were straight away greeted with a friendly face at reception who swiftly checked us in and told us where to go for breakfast and dinner. At first the room was cold, however, there was an extra oil heater, which we made use of. The room was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities you would expect aswell as a Jacuzzi bath. While the main light in our room was faulty, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made up for this. The architecture and feel to this hotel was lovely, the lobby and dining room takes you back to the 30s and the corridors the 60s. Breakfast was like a premier inn breakfast, couldn't fault it. Dinner was a buffet style and the receptionist made sure that there was something for me, considering my vegan diet. There is a small lift (4 persons) to all floors but the 4th floor. Given the period the building was constructed, it's expected that it is a small lift. Replaced by Otis in the 60s and modernised by EA Foulds, Dec 2025.

We was unsure to book due to the misex reviews butni can honestly say I was worrying about nothing. We had the family room and it was spotless and a very good size as we had 2 small children with us. Beds were very comfy and all of us had a great night sleep. Staff members were very welcoming I'd say only down fall is the distance to the promenade if you don't drive but there is a tram that's very reliable and comes often. Thanks.

Staff were helpful. Room was clean and large. Plenty of wardrobe and storage space. Room and bathroom was clean. Was a little tricky getting the shower for right temperature.

The room we were in was very basic but clean and im sure they have larger rooms available. The food was really nice. Breakfast or main meal we couldn't fault. The distance to the tower was only 2 or 3 stops away on the tram. So overall I did enjoy my stay and would stay here again.
